Yin Yoga is a complementary practice to other active (yang) styles. It is a passive practice where you need to relax and remain in the postures anywhere from one to five minutes, targeting deep connective tissues in the body, including the fascia.
Remember to follow its three principles: Enter a pose at the first edge, commit to remain still, and hold for a time.
Yin is a meditative-introspective practice with a focus on releasing blockages within the body and mind allowing us to flow more freely. During the class, we will also work on breathing techniques to balance the nervous system and create a sense of peace that will prepare you for savasana, or final relaxation.
You will leave this class feeling more open, flexible, peaceful, and calm within your body and mind.
This class is suitable for all levels.
