ABOUT ME

Hey there! Welcome to my space :)

My name is Silvia, and I was born in Spain, but now I consider myself a world citizen. I love traveling, nature, animals, and, of course, yoga!

My yoga journey began at a hard time in my life when I needed time for myself and self-reflecting. I started reading some yoga books and trying different classes on Youtube. Soon I realized that Ashtanga Vinyasa was the perfect kind of yoga for me. After months of self-learning, I noticed the urge to go deep into my daily practice. It was time to do a Teacher Training, and I chose one of the best Ashtanga yoga schools in Rishikesh (India). That was my first solo trip to India, and I fell in love with its culture and people.

Tattvaa Yogashala and Yogi Kamal Singh taught me self-discipline, mental control, body awareness, and how to adjust the asanas safely. I joined the course initially to go deep into my practice, but at the end of the training, I learned so much about yoga, myself, and life that I felt the need to share that knowledge with everyone. I realized that teaching was going to make me really happy! I got my first teaching job upon graduating, and I loved it! That encouraged me to do more different teaching courses all around the globe.

For me, yoga is about being present and able to connect body and mind. In a world of rush and anxiety, we must learn how to reconnect with ourselves, others, and nature. Yoga is union, so it is the tool we can use to start reconnecting. My goal as a teacher is to encourage my students to have a daily practice, even for only 15 minutes, to slow down and start feeling this connection again. And, of course, to gain all the other benefits that the yoga practice gives you.

It does not matter what kind of yoga you choose, but I think Ashtanga Vinyasa is the perfect one to start building a solid routine. My classes are filled with a positive and funny atmosphere where I try to transmit my calmness and compassion while teaching. You will receive hands-on adjustments, and expect the use of props and modifications if necessary because I believe in yoga, we are not in a hurry to achieve the pose, but we search for the benefits of it.

I do my practice every day, not only because it feels amazing, but because if you haven't experienced it yourself, it is hard to teach it. And as I always say: You never stop learning from your yoga practice!

Hope to see you around! Namaste :)
